Women’s Golf Signs Natachanok Tunwannarux

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women’s golf head coach Mic Potter announced Monday the signing of Natachanok Tunwannarux and will join the women’s golf program for the 2025-26 campaign. Tunwannarux makes her way to Tuscaloosa after spending her sophomore season at Georgia Southern, before beginning her collegiate career at Georgia. 

“We are really excited to add Natachanok Tunwannarux to our roster,” Potter said. “We have been paired with Natachanok a few times over the past two years and have admired not only her technical skills, but also her passion for the game and desire to excel. We can’t wait to get started in August.”

Georgia Southern (2025)

  • Had a pair of top 10 finishes, including finishing fourth at the Liz Murphey Collegiate at 2-over par
  • Posted seven rounds of par or better throughout the seven tournaments Tunwannarux competed in
  • Finished tied for 21st overall at the NCAA Lexington Regional, helping guide Georgia Southern to the NCAA Championships
  • Recorded 54 birdies throughout the season, posting an average of 2.70 birdies per round  

Georgia (2024)

  • Played one season at Georgia, competing in 10 events including nine during the spring
  • Finished her freshman season with a 73.81 average over 26 rounds
  • Ranked third on the team with eight par or better rounds
  • Posted her best finish of the season, placing fourth at the 2024 Lady Bulldog Individual Championship
  • Named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team

Prep

  • Played at IMG Academy where she won the IMG Academy Junior World Florida Challenge at the IMG Academy Golf Club and the FCG International Junior Championship at Singing Hills Golf Club
  • Competed in 56 World Amateur Ranking (WAGR) events between 2018-22, posting 11 victories during that span
  • Posted a trio of top-10 finishes to wrap up 2022, finishing fourth at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship, second at the IMG Academy Junior World Florida Challenge and sixth at the Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational.
  • Shot 4-under 216 en route to winning the 2022 Pattana Junior Cup
  • Earned bids to the aforementioned U.S. events by shooting 12-under 276 to win the Thailand Golf Association (TGA)-SINGHA Junior Championship
  • Also finished bids to the aforementioned U.S. events by shooting 12-under 276 to win the Thailand Golf Association (TGA)-SINGHA Junior Championship
