CARLSBAD, Calif. –  The No. 11 Florida State men’s golf team finished in ninth place at the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa on Monday.  

 

The Seminoles finished the tournament 12-over, 1,164, one stroke shy of qualifying for match play.

 

Starting the day on the 10th hole, Carson Brewer led the Noles, shooting 71, finishing the tournament in 22nd place at 1-over, 289. Brewer gave three birdies on the back nine, including a back-to-back stretch on the first and second holes.

 

In his final round as a Seminole, Gray Albright shot his best round of the tournament, also posting 71. Albright contributed three birdies on the front nine, including back-to-back strikes on the 11th and 12th holes, and also made a birdie on the sixth. He finished the tournament 8-over, 296.

 

Albright was the 2025 Jones Cup champion and finished the season with three top 10 finishes.  Albright finished 23rd in the PGA TOUR University rankings, earning exemption membership on PGA TOUR Americas for the remainder of the 2025 season, starting with the Explore NB Open (July 3-6). Additionally, Albright is exempt to Second Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry.

 

Luke Clanton also finished the tournament 1-over, 289 ahead of Tyler Weaver who was 5-over, 293.
