CARLSBAD, Calif. –  The No. 11 Florida State men’s golf team finished in ninth place at the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa on Monday.  

 

The Seminoles finished the tournament 12-over, 1,164, one stroke shy of qualifying for match play.

 

Starting the day on the 10^th hole, Carson Brewer led the Noles, shooting 71, finishing the tournament in 22nd place at 1-over, 289. Brewer gave three birdies on the back nine, including a back-to-back stretch on the first and second holes.

 

In his final round as a Seminole, Gray Albright shot his best round of the tournament, also posting 71. Albright contributed three birdies on the front nine, including back-to-back strikes on the 11th and 12^th holes, and also made a birdie on the sixth. He finished the tournament 8-over, 296.

 

Albright was the 2025 Jones Cup champion and finished the season with three top 10 finishes.  Albright finished 23^rd in the PGA TOUR University rankings, earning exemption membership on PGA TOUR Americas for the remainder of the 2025 season, starting with the Explore NB Open (July 3-6). Additionally, Albright is exempt to Second Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry.

 

Luke Clanton also finished the tournament 1-over, 289 ahead of Tyler Weaver who was 5-over, 293.
