TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama track and field program will have 41 entries at next week’s NCAA East First Round, held May 28-31, at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Additionally, national qualifiers in the combined events were posted Thursday, with UA’s Katelyn Adel capturing the Crimson Tide’s first ticket to Eugene, Ore., in the women’s heptathlon.

The Crimson Tide will be represented at next week’s NCAA East First Round by 33 student-athletes across 41 entries. The UA women have 14 student-athletes listed in 17 entries, while the UA men will feature 19 student-athletes in 24 entries.

To mirror the format of the national meet, the First Round will be contested over four days, alternating between men’s and women’s competitions. The NCAA West First Round will take place the same week in College Station, Texas. The top 12 in each event, from each First Round site, will advance to Eugene, Ore., for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 11-14) at the iconic Hayward Field.
