Alabama Baseball Sees Four Names Among 2025 SEC Postseason Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama baseball’s Carson Ozmer, Kade Snell, Justin Lebron and Riley Quick each earned Southeastern Conference postseason honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Ozmer and Snell were each named First Team honorees, while Lebron and Quick were among the Second Team selections. As well as his Second Team distinction, Lebron garnered All-Defensive Team accolades for the second consecutive season.

Snell is the first Crimson Tide outfielder since Taylor Dugas in 2012 to be named a First Team selection, with Ozmer standing as the first Alabama pitcher since Austin Hyatt in 2009 to receive First Team honors. The Tide’s two First Team distinctions are the most since Dugas and Josh Rutledge brought home First Team recognition in 2010.

Lebron becomes the first player in program history to notch his second All-Defensive Team honor, with Quick becoming Alabama’s first starting pitcher to earn All-Conference honors since Hyatt’s First Team distinction in 2009.

Kade Snell

All-SEC First Team

  • Started all but one of Alabama’s 55 games this season
  • Led the Tide in batting average (.356), hits (37), total bases (65), on-base percentage (.469) and slugging (.625) in 30 SEC games
  • His. .459 on-base percentage closed as the fifth-best mark in league play, while his .356 batting average in SEC play ranked sixth among the league’s hitters
  • Struck out just eight times in 104 conference at-bats, the lowest figure among SEC hitters

Carson Ozmer

All-SEC First Team

  • Appeared in relief in 14 league games, posting a 4.64 earned run average (11 ER/21.1 IP) with a 3-1 record
  • Converted eight saves in conference play, the second-most among SEC relievers
  • Limited SEC opponents to a .227 opponent batting average (17 H/75 AB), the second-lowest mark among UA pitchers in league play
  • Set the program record and ranked atop the league with 16 saves overall

Justin Lebron

All-SEC Second Team I SEC All-Defensive Team

  • Started all 30 SEC games at shortstop for the Crimson Tide
  • Led Alabama in doubles (8) with a team-best eight stolen bases in as many tries in SEC play
  • Second among Alabama players in home runs (6), total bases (57) and walks (15) in league games
  • Finished the regular season with 69 RBI overall, the highest total of any player in the conference
  • A defensive standout, Lebron finished with just three errors in 130 chances at shortstop, helping convert 18 of Alabama’s 23 double plays in SEC action

Riley Quick

All-SEC Second Team

  • Toed the rubber for nine SEC starts a year removed from Tommy John surgery, posting a 3-1 record
  • Finished with a 4.20 earned run average (19 ER/40.2 IP), the lowest ERA among UA starters
  • Tallied 50 strikeouts in his nine games, a team-best in SEC play
  • His 40.2 innings pitched was second-most among Crimson Tide starting pitchers
  • Surrendered two earned runs or less in seven of his nine conference starts
