FSU’s seven selections are tied for the second most in school history behind the eight selections in 2018. FSU’s seven selections were also tied for the most in the Gulf Region.
Few have had a better season than Torres who is proving to be one of the best shortstops and players in the game. Torres is hitting .447 with eight home runs and 44 RBI. Her .447 average ranks 18th in the country and third in the ACC. Torres has tallied 88 hits this season which is third in the entire country and leads the ACC. Torres’ 88 hits are tied for the fifth-most all time in FSU history. The Georgetown, Texas, native has recorded a hit in 47 out FSU’s 55 games this season and has reached base in 51 out of FSU’s 55 games.
Harp was a breakout star for FSU this season and was unstoppable at points during the season. In 49 starts, Harp batted .412 with a team-high 49 RBI to go along with nine home runs. Harp also hit 10 triples which leads the country and is second all-time in FSU history. Harp recorded a RBI in her first 10 games of the season which is the longest RBI streak in program history.
Danley has been lights out for FSU in the circle this season and has also showed off some power with the bat. In the circle, Danley holds a 1.76 ERA and a 12-1 record for the Noles. Danley has not allowed an earned run in her last four appearances and has allowed just nine earned runs in her last 37.1 innings. Offensively, Danley is hitting .386 in 70 at bats with two home runs and 14 RBI.
Edenfield has continued to be a solid bat in FSU’s lineup while proving to be one of the top catchers in the country. Edenfield is hitting .331 this season with nine home runs and 47 RBI. Edenfield has drawn a team-high 39 walks this season for team-leading .495 on base percentage. Behind the plate, Edenfield has caught nine runners stealing and picked off two runners.
Kerr has had one of the best seasons of her career in her final season in the Garnet and Gold. Kerr is hitting .390 with nine home runs and 42 RBI. All three marks are career highs for Kerr. The senior came on hot once ACC play started and hit .456 in conference play which was tied for the second highest in the conference. Kerr drove in a run in eight consecutive games from April 11-May 3 which is tied for the third-longest streak in school history.
Dack has also been having a career year during her senior year. Dack has had one of the most powerful bats for FSU this season as she has hit a team-high 14 home runs while driving in 47 runs. Both marks are career highs to go along with a career high .348 batting average.
The reigning National Freshman of the Year has continued to be a solid bat for the Noles. Beachum has hit 11 home runs and driven in 42 runs while hitting .317 this season. Beachum has drawn 29 walks which is second-most on the team.
Florida State will return to action tomorrow as the open up the Tallahassee Regional against Robert Morris at 2:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.
