TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men’s tennis team had four players earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors as Zach Foster, Roan Jones, Damien Nezar and Andrii Zimnokh were selected for the all-district list, the organization announced on Tuesday.

A 2024 CSC Academic All-American, Foster highlighted the group with his third consecutive nod to the all-district team. Jones followed with his second selection in as many years while Nezar returned to the academic list after earning the honor in 2023 while at Campbell. Zimnokh was recognized in his first year of eligibility for the award.   

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the court. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore that holds a 3.50 grade point average while also competing in 70 percent of the institution’s dual matches.

About the Honorees  

• A dynamic doubles duo, Damien Nezar and Andrii Zimnokh currently rank 14^th nationally as a pair, boasting a 15-6 overall record
• Individually, Zimnokh paced the Tide with 23 doubles victories, while also ranking second on the team in singles wins with 20
• Nezar notched an impressive 21 wins in paired play, second most on the team, including six wins over ranked opponents
• As the 2024 ITA South Sectional Singles Champion, Roan Jones earned a spot at the NCAA Singles Championships in the fall
• Thanks to his team-leading 23 singles wins, Jones has held a national ranking since Dec. 3
• A 2024 CSC Academic All-American, and only the second player to earn the honor in program history, Zach Foster earned a berth to the ITA All-American Championships in the fall in both singles and doubles action
• He won 13 doubles matches and held a career-best No. 18 ranking in doubles during the season
