Gators Set Numerous Academic Records in Spring 2025 Term

The collective 3.42 GPA by UF student-athletes in spring 2025 is an all-time high, replacing the 3.39 GPA set in fall of 2024.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida student-athletes performed well in the academic arena this spring, with overall and team grade point average records being set.
 
For the fourth consecutive semester, more than 400 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or higher GPA (435 / fall 2024; 413 / spring 2024; 401 / fall 2023). A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher was turned in by 18 programs for both the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters.
 
The collective 3.42 GPA by UF student-athletes is an all-time high, replacing the 3.39 GPA set in fall of 2024.
 
In the 2023-24 academic year, 75 student-athletes graduated with a bachelor’s degrees while another 17 earned a master’s. Thirty-three graduated with honors.
 
Gators Classroom Success Numbers

Five programs set or equaled GPA records this past semester: baseball (3.26), football (3.48), gymnastics (3.73), lacrosse (3.67) and men’s track & field (3.08).
 
The fall 2024 team leaders also topped the spring 2025 rankings to earn the cumulative high:
Men:         Cross Country (3.51 spring | 3.55 cumulative)
Women:   Gymnastics (3.73 spring | 3.72 cumulative)
 
UF Student-Athlete Spring 2025 Semester Highlights

  • 18 programs earned a 3.0 or better spring semester GPA
  • 18 programs earned a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA
  • Overall Male Term GPA – 3.35
  • Overall Male Cumulative GPA – 3.31
  • Overall Female Term GPA – 3.51
  • Overall Female Cumulative GPA – 3.48 (New Record)
  • 4.0 spring 2025 GPA by 54 student-athletes
