TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State Softball team (46-9) earned a Top 8 National Seed on Sunday night as they will enter the NCAA Tournament as the fifth overall seed. FSU will be hosting Robert Morris, USF and Auburn in the Tallahassee Regional. The Noles will play Robert Morris at 2:30 p.m. on Friday on the ACC Network. USF and Auburn will face off at noon on Friday on ESPNU. 
 
FSU will be hosting a regional for the 11th consecutive season. FSU is one of four schools (FSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, UCLA) to host a regional in each of the last 11 seasons. 
 
FSU earned a top 8 seed for the eighth time under Head Coach Lonni Alameda and for the seventh time in the last nine seasons. FSU is 20-3 in regionals under Coach Alameda when they are a top 8 seed. If the Seminoles advance, the super regional will take place at JoAnne Graf Field against the winner of the Lubbock Regional hosted by No. 12 Texas Tech.

Game 1: USF vs Auburn at 12:00 p.m.
Game 2: Robert Morris vs FSU at 2:30 p.m. OR 35 minutes following Game 1.
 
Saturday May 17th
Game 3: 3:00 p.m. (Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2)
Game 4: 5:30 p.m. (Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2)
Game 5: 8:00 p.m. (Winner Game 4 vs. Loser Game 3)
 
Sunday May 18th
Game 6: 12:00 p.m. (Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 5)
Game 7: 2:30 p.m. (Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 6 if necessary)
