TALLAHASSEE – Florida State softball freshman pitcher Jazzy Francik picked up her second ACC Pitcher of the Week award on Tuesday afternoon after her stellar performance at No. 15 Virginia Tech this past weekend.

Francik rewrote the history books on Saturday as she threw the first no-hitter against a ranked opponent in program history. Francik became the first FSU true freshman to throw a no-hitter since Lacey Waldrop in 2012. Francik threw six innings and retired 18 out of the 21 batters she faced. In her last three starts, Francik has thrown 19 scoreless innings and allowed just five hits while striking out 21 batters. Francik currently has the lowest ERA in ACC play with a 1.40 ERA.

The Seminoles will be back in action on Thursday morning when they will face the winner of Cal and Georgia Tech at 11 a.m. on the ACC Network.
