TALLAHASSEE – Florida State head coach Brooke Wyckoff announced the signing of forward Allie Kubek for the 2025-26 season. Kubek will join the Seminoles with one year of eligibility remaining.
“We are extremely excited to announce the signing of Allie Kubek to our roster,” Wyckoff said. “Allie brings a wealth of college basketball experience, a high basketball IQ and an ability to score the basketball from the three -point line, off the dribble and around the rim. She has had success at the highest level of the college game and is a proven winner. Her offensive versatility will really shine in our system, and her physicality and ability to rebound will be crucial factors in our team’s success on both ends of the floor next season. Our fans will love Allie’s personality on the court as well as the impact she has on winning. We are so glad she has chosen to be a part of the Seminole family!”
Kubek spent three seasons with Maryland, where she helped the Terrapins to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 run in 2024-25.
The Elkton, Maryland native, was at her best in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 15.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She was 4-of-5 from three-point range, shooting 80 percent and secured a season-high, 12 rebounds and five assists in the overtime victory over No. 21 Alabama to advance to the Sweet 16.
Kubek appeared in 33 games, starting 21, averaging 9.1 points per game and 4.7 rebounds for the season. She scored in double figures in 15 games, including a season best of 20 against St. Franics.
In 2023-24, Kubek started 17 games, averaging 9.0 points per game and 4.0 rebounds, while helping Maryland to a semifinal appearance in the Big 10 Tournament.
Kubek led the Terps with career-high 29 points, setting a Maryland NCAA Tournament record with seven threes made in First Round game against Iowa State. She also picked up her first career double-double behind 13 points and 10 rebound against Illinois.
Kubek began her career at Towson, where she was named to the 2021 All-CAA Rookie Team. She was a two-time CAA Player of Week and earned All-CAA Third Team honors in 2022. She transferred to Maryland ahead of the 2022-23 season, however she sustained a season-ending injury in the preseason.
In 2021-22, Kubek ranked second on the team with 14.6 points per game and registered five games scoring 20-plus points.
The 2020 Delaware Gatorade Player of the Year and DSCBA Player of the Year, Kubek averaged 20.2 points per game as a senior at Sanford School behind a 20-1 record. As a junior, she captured the Delaware state title.
Kubek graduated from Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and will continue working on her master’s in entrepreneurship.

With the addition of Kubek, FSU has seven members in the 2025 signing class including Tatum Greene, Emma Risch, Mari Gerton, Solé Williams, Pania Davis and Jasmine Shavers.
