Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators today arrested a Fort Walton Beach man on charges of Video Voyeurism and Burglary.

The victim says she was cleaning the ceiling and wall vents in her home April 11th and noticed a glare in the air vent. When she stood on a small table she spotted a camera, which she immediately took down and turned off.

A forensic download of the camera’s micro SD card revealed the camera had been recording the victim in her bedroom since February 17, 2025, including times when she was undressed.

OCSO Investigators say 30-year old Jason Lee Carpenter of Denton Boulevard can be clearly seen in the videos setting up the camera and adjusting it. His face is revealed along with a tattoo on his left forearm.

The victim recently installed a Ring doorbell camera at her residence in Fort Walton Beach and on April 25th, Carpenter can be seen approaching, then leaving when he spots the camera.
