Alabama Lands Coastal Carolina Transfer Alancia Ramsey

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Kristy Curry announced the addition of Alancia Ramsey to the women’s basketball program on Friday.

The Crimson Tide will welcome the Delray Beach, Fla., native to the upcoming 2025-26 squad after she spent her first two collegiate seasons at Coastal Carolina.

  • Tabbed as an All-Sun Belt Third-Team selection (2025)
  • Assisted in Coastal Carolina’s 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship quarterfinal victory over Georgia State (77-68) to advance to the semifinals for the first time in school history (March 8)
  • Started in 29 of her 32 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 25 minutes per game
  • Recorded the most points scored for the Chanticleers with 395, averaging 12.3 points per game
  • Grabbed the most rebounds for CCU with 205, averaging 6.4 rebounds per game
  • Collected a career-high 28 points in Coastal Carolina’s 67-56 victory against Georgia Southern (Feb. 12, 2025)
  • Posted seven double-doubles for CCU, including 19 points and 13 rebounds in the Chanticleers’ 82-63 win over Coker (Nov. 27, 2024)
  • Started in 27 of 33 possible games during her freshman campaign for Coastal Carolina (2023-24)
  • Posted a double-double (17 points, 12 rebounds) to contribute to CCU’s 79-60 first-round victory over South Alabama in the 2024 SBC Championship
  • Scored in double figures 13 different times, including a then-career-high 23 points versus College of Charleston (Dec. 2, 2023)
  • Recorded four double-doubles throughout the 2023-24 season
  • Grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds versus South Carolina State (Nov. 15, 2023)
  • Played for the Nike Youth Elite Basketball team, Essence, on the EYBL Circuit during her senior year of high school
  • Named the 2020-21 Sun Sentinel Palm Beach Player of the Year while playing at St. Thomas Aquinas High School
  • Led the Raiders to a clean sweep of the BCAA Big Eight district, regional and state championships (2020-21)
