No. 9 Softball Hosts No. 1 Oklahoma In Final Regular-Season Series
The Gators will welcome the Sooners for a three-game series from May 1-3 at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
All three games of the series will be nationally broadcast with Beth Mowins (play-by-play) Michele Smith (analyst) and Jessica Mendoza (analyst) on the call.
Game one and two will both air on SEC Network at 6 p.m., while the series finale on Saturday is set for 5 p.m. on ESPN2.
Prior to first pitch on Friday, Florida will celebrate senior day with a ceremony honoring Kendra Falby, Reagan Walsh, Korbe Otis, Brooke Barnard, Kara Hammock and Rylee Holtorf.
The Gators (41-12, 12-9 SEC) are looking to end the regular season with their fifth conference series victory before the postseason kicks off.

NOTABLES:
- The Florida Gators will host the Oklahoma Sooners for just the second time in program history. The last time Florida and Oklahoma met in Gainesville was on Feb. 8, 2003. The Sooners won that match up 2-0
- This series will be just the second time in program history that the Gators have hosted the No. 1 team in the country
- The only other time was in 2007 against No. 1 Tennessee, head coach Tim Walton’s second season in Gainesville. The Volunteers took a 2-1 series victory, but Florida picked up a 4-0 victory against the nation’s top team in game two
- The last time Florida beat the No. 1 team in the country was at No. 1/2 Alabama on March 6, 2013 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
- The last five times the Sooners and Gators have met has been in the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City
- Florida split its two games with Oklahoma in the 2024 Women’s College World Series semifinals
- The Gators have recorded 13 wins this season against Top-25 teams
- Reagan Walsh is just two RBI shy of tying assistant coach Francesca Enea for second-most career RBI in program history (221)
- Kendra Falby and Taylor Shumaker were named USA Softball Player of the Year Top 25 finalists on Wednesday
- Lauren Haegar (2015) & Kelly Barnhill (2017) are the only Gators to have won the prestigious award
- In the series finale against LSU, Taylor Shumaker picked up her 71st RBI of the season, becoming just the fifth player in program history to have 71 or more RBI in a single season. She is chasing teammate Jocelyn Erickson for the single-season record of 86, which Erickson set a season ago
