Gators Selected to 2025 NCAA Tournament

The Gators are set to face the Bulls in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Men’s Tennis has been selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament, and will have the opportunity to play for a ticket to Waco, Tx. to battle for the 2025 NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship. 
 
The Gators’ first challenge will be against No. 30 South Florida in the Orlando Regional hosted by UCF at the USTA National Campus. First-and-second round competition is set to take place May 2-3 or 3-4 and features four teams playing in a single-elimination format.
 
NCAA Tournament History
The Gators’ 2025 bid is the 42nd NCAA Tournament selection in school history, and extends Florida’s active streak of 34 consecutive bids, which began in 1991. The Gators reached at least the round of 16 in 23 out of the 33 previous consecutive bids. Florida claimed the national title in 2021, the first in program history.
 
The Opponents
The Bulls enter the regional with a 20-4 overall record. The Gators hold a perfect 13-0 mark in the all-time series with USF. The last match between the two was a 4-1 win for Florida at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex in 2023.

ITA RANKINGS

As a team, Florida sits at No. 29 in the ITA rankings. Two Gators are ranked in singles competition: Adhithya Ganesan at No. 40 and  Jeremy Jin at No. 79. UF also has two ranked doubles pairs featuring Tanapatt Nirundorn and Henry Jefferson at No. 16, followed by Nirundorn and Ganesan at No. 90.
